| Our 4th of July weekend yard sale was a huge success. Fund were raised to purchase hay, veterinary supplies, and vegan cat food. We sold everything from an inflatable kayak to lava lamps to vintage evening gowns. Many thanks to Anna, Ninette, Kevin, Syd and Nadine for all your hours of hard work. Our next sale is tentatively scheduled for July 31st/ |

| Certified permaculturist and pasture management professional, James Tyree of Oregon Field and Brush Mowing spent the afternoon touring our property and consulting with us at OTP. He discussed pasture management, rotational grazing, manure management, rainwateharvesting, swales, “chicken tractors” and more. Thank you James for sharing your knowledge with us. |
| Thank you to Trader Joe’s in Portland for the donation of canned cat food and treats to the cats at OTP. We are hearing lots of happy purring since the cat food arrived! |
| Jerilee Auclair from Vancouver generously drove all the way to Estacada and donated seven large bolts of polar tech fleece material to use for cat bedding in the new cat enclosure. There will be lot of warm happy cats this winter thanks to Jerilee. |
| Seeing the other peacock in the chrome bumper of the truck caused Orville to get his feathers ruffled. He wasn’t about to share his peahens with that other guy. It did make for a difficult departure for Babe the pig’s previous caretakers Karen and Phil, not wanting to run over Orville as they attempted to pull out the driveway while avoiding Orville’s repeated attacks on his illusory competitor. |
| Recovering from female cancer, Ruby the pig enjoyed her Reiki treatment from Jerilee Auclair, a Reiki practitioner from Vancouver. Her happy grunts could be heard as Jerilee performed her treatment on the little pig. Ruby was adopted several years ago after her “caretakers” abandoned her when they sold their property and moved. |
